What We Do

Our mission is to achieve agency success through Organizational Development, Evidence Based Practices and Collaboration. We make this happen by enhancing public safety, reducing offender recidivism and increasing opportunities for success of offenders through effective case management services. We encourage offender accountability through cost-effective use of agency interventions and community-based supervision.

Community Corrections in Kansas was established by the 1978 Legislature. Patterned after the Minnesota Community Corrections Act, Community Corrections in Kansas was intended to provide alternatives to both incarceration and new prison construction.
